Appreciate the props Sir

Just finished that Kashiwa Daisuke track. Getting a Kitaro/DJ Krush (the downtempo moments) vibe, but i'm definitely feeling it. Soothing stuff.

Awesome. I'm sure you'll enjoy at least half of the albums on the list. I'll be adding YT embeds to each selection soon with key tracks to give you an idea (in spoiler brackets, of course).

great stuff, look forward to checking out the ones I dont know (about half of them).

Kraftwerk mark in me is shocked at the lack of Trans-Europe Express (that might just be my favourite electronic album ever) and Computer Love. Cool idea to put stuff like MBV in there though

I'm tempted to say any Talking Heads, because they use a lot of electro in their work (especially on Remain in Light).

It's a bit fast and loose with the genre spec Evo was probably looking for though, but since they're the greatest band of all time I'll throw them in the ring.

I didn't realise MBV was considered electronic. Well, I suppose vacuums are electric-powered. Couple of things to add to those artists, I guess:

Amon Tobin: Bricolage, Foley Room, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Soundtrack
Aphex Twin: Richard D. James Album
Boards of Canada: Twoism EP
Tycho: Dive

I may as well recommend a few artists not on the list, as well.

Black Moth Super Rainbow: Cobra Juicy
Bjork: Homogenic
The Cinematic Orchestra: Everyday
Nine Inch Nails: Pretty Hate Machine, The Downward Spiral
Vangelis: Blade Runner Original Soundtrack

I'd also recommend Kota Hoshino's work on the soundtracks for the Armored Core series (anything 1997-2006). A lot of good stuff that's worth listening to on its own, even if it's from a game.

Going through a proper electro phase at the moment and I've probably got enough recommendations from blarg to keep me going for the rest of the year.

Good few of them I knew well already, so it's interesting seeing where the ones I know and like rank among the ones I don't know yet (assuming blarg has ranked them as he fond of doing).

Yeah Trans-Europe is great, though Autobahn remains my all time favorite. What I should've done is put Kraftwerk's "The Catalogue" and be done with it. lol

Looking back, I should've added something from Bjork instead of MBV since MBV hardly qualifies as electronic music, but it did influence a number of well established electronic acts like Ulrich Schnauss. Eh, i'll still leave it, it's amungst the best that genre has to offer, and I doubt many people will complain.
