Re: Electronic Music

It's a shame they didn't film Boys Noize's live set or the Dog Blood DJ set. They were the two I was most interested in seeing tbh.

Also I've already pre-ordered Daft Punk's Random Access Memories

Re: Electronic Music

can someone recommend me something down tempo and moody, bordering on ambient but still with a tune, somewhere between the Knife and Burial or whatever? looking for newish or fairly recent rather than old stuff.

Hanoi.. try these. The Knife can be very upbeat so it's hard to tell exactly what you're after. All of the artists i'll drop have done compositions reminiscent of the two bands you just named.

Trentemoller
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble
Boards of Canada
Jon Hopkins
Christ.
The Orb
9 lazy 9
Ulrich Shnauss
DJ Krush
edIT
Chevron
Loden
Nosaj Thing
Blue State

Re: Electronic Music

Aye I know a few of those names (seen The Orb a few times actually) so I'll check out the ones I dont, cheers

when I said the Knife I should have specified their quieter moments from Silent Shout, stuff like this is my favorite stuff from them

Re: Electronic Music

One band that came to mind right away was Lamb.. tell me what you think of this.

Think you'd enjoy Christ and Trentemoller from my list too.

"Advisory Circle" is another one that comes to mind.
