Re: Official R&B Music Discussion Thread

Was listening to FS/LS a couple weeks ago and I love the inspiration from 80s synths on several of the tracks featured. Kind of got Prince feel on a couple of tracks. Sexy Ladies in particular.

Has the vibe of a 1999 era Prince track.

Re: Official R&B Music Discussion Thread

I always thought Justin was the absolute strongest and best voice out of NSYNC, but, I honestly never thought he would be as great as he is as a respectable solo artist. His abilities just really blew up out in the open when he went solo. You could see in NSYNC he was a strong vocalist, but, damn, the shit he has put out since becoming solo has been fantastic, and it's 'cool' for guys to like his music without being considered a fairy.

MARKS FOR ROWDY RODDY PIPER
Just when you think you know the answers, I change the questions.
You ever notice Hulk Hogans got no hair on his chest? Only friend hes got that DOES is Cyndi Lauper.

20/20 Experience is great, but it's not as good as FutureSex.

Strawberry Bubblegum and Pusher Love Girl are the standout tracks.

Spaceship Coupe is my song too, especially the breakdown at the end.

I was legit shocked at how FutureSex was actually a great album. It's definitely a much better effort than Justified.

Re: Official R&B Music Discussion Thread

I'm really digging Chris Brown's Fine China. It seems overly Michaelish, but that's his idol so I can't criticize too much.

JC Chasez was easily the strongest and best voice out of NSYNC. JC flopped because he tried to change his style to fit mainstream. His voice was suited for slower tempo R&B or pop. Justin had mainstream appeal and fit the music of mainstream appeal.

Can't wait for Lauryn Hill's "I gotta pay for my taxes" album to come out.

I find myself posting this video now. Been watching it over and over since my post on this song. Love the dancing.

Re: Official R&B Music Discussion Thread

It's a great song.

A shame it hasn't done that well on charts since this could probably be Chris's best song and I'm not even a big fan of his but I appreciate good music.
