Great song. From this same soundtrack, I loved this song too. Both were written and produced by R. Kelly, as was most of the soundtrack. K-Ci killed it on the vocals on this, and it was cool to see an R&B group in this day and time make a song with that subject matter.

And as an aside, I love that movie too. Eddie's last great movie, and probably Martin's best movie.

Was listening to that earlier today, it's kind of weird actually because I'm a big Jodeci fan but I don't recall ever listening to one of K-Ci & JoJo's separate albums. I've heard songs from them but never the whole albums.

Yeah, I like their first two albums a lot. Not as much as the Jodeci albums, but they're still very good albums.

My favorite cut off both albums.

Still maintain that the Love Jones soundtrack might be the best R&B music soundtrack I've ever heard. On top of that, the music actually correlates with the actual movie and theme. So many times we get soundtracks that have nothing to do with the movie theme. Just random music.

That's how I feel about the Girl 6 Soundtrack. It is full of exceptional cuts from Prince but I didn't feel they fit well with the movie. It was like Spike Lee just happen to want Prince music in one of his movies even if the song's didn't really flow with the feel of the movie. Thematically, the lyrics may have fit with the emotion and story Lee wanted to present with his characters in Girl 6 but I just wasn't feeling the music with the movie. Now I'll listen to the soundtrack and songs like "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore" or "Count The Days" anytime.

My local radio station did a 4 play of Loose Ends a couple days ago and it had me marking like a little school girl. I always knew the songs, but never knew who the artist was. They straight out of the UK:

Yeah, they were dope. I was aware of Loose Ends songs, but never knew the group either.....until the Pete Rock lead single "Take Your Time" off his Soul Survivor album in '98 featured them. At the time I didn't even put it together who "Loose Ends" was, just figured they were some new group Pete got for his single. Eventually I heard one of their old songs that I knew and saw who the artist was, and then put it together!

This was such a chill song.

re: R&B Thread

You found out better than I did lol. I called the radio station the other day and asked them who was the artist behind the songs. I heard hanging on a string for many, many years on the radio and never knew who it was.

Longer and much better quality version of Hanging on a String. This is basically the radio version.

All of this is going on the iPod.

re: R&B Thread

I've heard their music before, found out about them due to Wiz Khalifa sampling "Hangin' on a String" for his song "The Kid Frankie."

I've only heard like 3 or 4 songs from them though.
