re: R&B Thread

I've never heard any of Dwele's solo songs honestly, I've only heard him on features of like Kanye, Common, Drake before he went to YMCMB, etc.

Back in the 90s my big brother used to have that at house parties haha (yes, I sneaked into teen parties at like 8 years old). They had a red light (special!) and even a black light too.

Room 112 is one my favorite RnB albums ever. Bad Boy's rnb roster back then was crazy with 112/Total/Faith and later Carl Thomas putting out album after album of great music.

re: R&B Thread

We need more Anita Baker up in here y'all:

This is totally out of place here, but I am seriously loving Miguel's "Adorn". It almost sounds like something Marvin or Al Green would've come up with in their prime.

The IWC has a bad reputation. Are you a part of the problem, or the answer?

Just chillin listening to this

Of course Mariah & Dru Hill's nor does Beyonce's version beat the original but I love them all!

Was just listening to this on youtube from the last Kells album. While it is not my fave album from him (I actually only like 2 songs, really), I like the groove on this one:

re: R&B Thread

I swear R.Kelly can make a good song out of any subject. It's incredible. Ask him to sing about cardboard boxes and it will be a hit.

re: R&B Thread

I almost think that is true. Listen to him in this song about "making love in a taxi cab":

Strange enough, I kind of got a Michael vibe from the way he was singing the chorus. Some of the verses too.

He reminds me of Michael in this song too, probably because he originally wrote it for Michael to sing so he's probably channeling him:

This remains my favorite Superbowl Halftime Show and I can't see it being topped. I loved how the image of children holding hands was created at the start of "Heal the World." He was such an innovator.

I liked this duet. Catchy song.

As well as this one. They both have incredible vocal range and gave an outstanding live performance here.
