This man owned 04-08.
Horrible singer, horrible songs, horrible voice, horrible hooks. There are a lot of artists who I don't like, but I can at least understand why they are/were popular. I have zero idea how Akon became popular. I'm glad that phase ended.

re: R&B Thread

I liked like two Akon songs:

But yes I agree, a horrible artist and I don't even really consider him R&B.

I always thought this was one of 112's better songs.

I hated Locked Up. I remember hearing that on the radio on what I think of as the "white girl" station.....played the light and popular songs like Nelly and Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake and stuff like that......I could never figure the thought process.....like, there's another Nelly dance song, now let's throw on the song by the African about being in jail, Becky and Katie will love that one.

Donell Jones is that dude. Where I Wanna Be is a classic album, straight through. Shorty Got Eyes On Me was incredible.

This song was too smooth, loved this.

This one always gave me kind of an MJ vibe....or at least the kind of MJ songs that I really liked, vibe.

re: R&B Thread

Oh no doubt about it Where I Wanna Be is a slept-on album. Extremely underrated and much like Donell, doesn't get the recognition it deserves. It's one of my favorite R&B albums.
