Bobby Brown was that dude! And the "Bobby" album was great too. It's a shame what drugs did to him. Just hoping he can be clean and live a good life for awhile.

Thriller was packed with like 6 or 7 four/five star songs but it's your prerogative (ha) to like Bobby Brown more. Don't Be Cruel has some strong work too as proven by the videos posted in this thread thanks to Headliner. Bobby Brown was an amazing performer in his prime. I dig the dancing, the energy, and overall presentation of those awards and talk show performances. They were very fresh and well-choreographed. Funny enough, you know who reminds me of Bobby Brown and a bit of MJ today? From the singing, attention to the presentation of performances, and one hell of a dancer - Chris Brown.

I have the same regards for Bobby and getting his life together for himself and his family. But that reality show he did with Whitney a few years back was a mess!

Brown's a lip syncer. Can't embrace that.

Chris that is.

I'm fine with the lip-syncing sometimes if they are doing all of that dancing. Not too many people can can dance at that pace, breath, and sing at the same time. I mean Janet and Michael had their moments doing it too because the overall presentation is sometimes more important than the vocal performance.

Agreed on Thriller.....but so did Don't Be Cruel, IMO. Roni, Every Little Step, Don't Be Cruel, My Prerogative, Rock Wit'cha.....Bobby's jams off that can go up against anyone's IMO.

Thriller deserves it's props, no question.

Brown does it all the time though.

He pretty much never sings live.

Marvin Gaye "What's Goin On" is classic. That is all.

One of the greatest albums of all time. It's crazy, you put that on and it just flows one song into the next.....it feels like one really long song at times.

Those are my favorite kind of albums. Perfect transitions.

Marvin's I Want You album is also really good.

Just a bunch of smooth songs and of course Marvin was great on the vocals. I recommend it.

No doubt. I go back and forth between I Want You and Let's Get It On as his 2nd best album, after What's Going On.
