I think Dru Hill is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite. It's back and forth with them and Boyz II Men although Boyz II Men is better vocally.

Vocally, I think i can agree, but I think they're a nice mix between Jodeci (who I believe they're better than vocally and in terms of the albums they've put out) and Boys II Men.

This is hard...

Favorite 60's artist: James Brown
Favorite 60's group: The Temptations
Favorite 70's artist: Stevie Wonder
Favorite 70's group: Earth, Wind, & Fire; The Jackson 5
Favorite 80's artist: Michael Jackson; Prince
Favorite 80's group: I can't say I have a #1 favorite group I love that was an "80s group." There are plenty I like. I can name more for 60s/70s/90s
Favorite 90's artist: Mariah Carey; R. Kelly
Favorite 90's group: TLC; Dru Hill

Overall favorite artist of all time: I can't name just one - JB, MJ, or Mariah.
Yeah that's why I said it was a little difficult for me too choose. All the R&B I had from the 80's was of artists who's best music was in the 70's or 90's.

I was gonna put Michael for artist but figured he really wasn't R&B.

Michael, Prince and Mariah are tricky when you talk R&B music actually. James Brown too because they tapped into so many different genres - R&B, Pop, Soul, Rock, etc. Those just happen to be the artists whose music moved me more than any others. Not only just giving me a good song, but also message and spirit. If we did purely just R&B my final answer for overall favorite would probably be either R. Kelly, Stevie, Luther, EWF, or Temptations.

They really should of stayed together. I think Sisqo's ego got the best of him. I mean, they came back together after he returned to planet earth, but it just didn't seem the same.

I think Dru Hill is getting a little too much credit here. I think they had a great first album, and that's where most of their best and classic songs are from.

The 2nd album had some great songs too, but it wasn't a great album overall by any means IMO. After that, they were done. Sisqo's solo stuff was a joke, and as said above when they reunited, it just felt off.....just like when a lot of those groups reunited in that early 2000's era(BlackStreet for example).

I mean, Dru Hill was good. But I think they are generally rated correctly historically.....they WEREN'T as good as Jodeci or Boyz II Men, and are rated by most accordingly. Their production and arrangements weren't as good as Jodeci's, not as many great songs, and while they were quite good vocally.....Sisqo being a poor man's K Ci invalidates the "better than Jodeci vocally" IMO. When your lead is obviously heavily influenced by the other group's guy, but he's not as good.....that kinda deads that who is better vocally discussion to me. So in short, Jodeci had Devante and Dru Hill didn't, and K-Ci >>>Sisqo......those are the 2 big differences.

Devante is really the trump card, for Jodeci on all those groups though. Most of the groups didn't have that mastermind behind them like that, except for Teddy Riley for awhile. No other group made an album like Jodeci's 3rd album....nobody took it there like that. And I'm not saying that was the greatest album of the 90's or anything, but no other R&B album sounds like that. These other groups were still trying to follow what Jodeci did with Forever My Lady 5 years later, and then Devante's dropping some shit like that......he was ahead of the game on everything IMO.

Strongest 1-2 punch singles from the same album in the 90's? I'm going with Keith Sweat - Twisted and Nobody. Really, what's messing with those?

I know there are a lot of good candidates. And there's better overall albums than "Keith Sweat", even though it was very good. And there are albums with 4-5 great singles. I'm talking strictly about strongest at the very top...the top 2. For my money, I'm taking Twisted/Nobody over anything and everything else.

And I'm referring to the video version of Twisted without the rap verse....I greatly prefer that version.

Also, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never figured out how to imbed a damn video on here. It's so easy to figure out on other sites, why the hell can I not figure it out here?

It's easy. [youtube]The numbers/letters after the v= in the youtube URL but before the &[*/youtube] Without the star though.

Like this:

Anyway, to answer your question...

Me personally I'd take Feenin/Cry for You over Twisted/Nobody. Might take Half on a Baby/When a Women's Fed Up over it.
