re: R&B Thread

^Damn right it is! Smokey is just an impeccable talent and I've always preferred Rick singing ballads to his funk stuff.

Couple of bangers from The Isley Brothers

When I was growing up my grandma used to play that song like 3 or 4 times a day lol.

My mother's an Isley Brothers diehard, lol. Me? One of my faves is actually an Isley-Jasper-Isley song:

Let's bring the Isley love up into the 90's, courtesy of one R. Kelly:

The IWC has a bad reputation. Are you a part of the problem, or the answer?

re: R&B Thread

Yeah, definitely got half of those songs on my iPod from the Isleys. My grandmother played old school radio throughout the house every saturday morning so it was awesome to hear them along with other groups and artists from the 70's and 80's.

re: R&B Thread

With my grandma she played her old school music from the 70's-80's when she woke up to when she went to sleep. Only time she wasn't playing old school R&B is on Sundays when she played gospel music.

IMO, the number 1 R&B group of the mid 1990s.
