re: R&B Thread

Sorry for dp but I was listening to this classic track today and wanted to share. Track is still hot enough to blast in your car imo.

Damn! I haven't heard that track in years.

Here is the 12 inch version.

This is also one of my favorites.

Jay and Beyonce's reaction whenever they watch an episode of Impact! Wrestling.

But of course! Curtis was that dude. Fellow Chicagoan too. Thank you for posting those. Curtis really had a talent for presenting the lyric not just singing it.

Here's maybe his most famous song:

My dad is a really big Curtis Mayfield fan, has pretty much of all his albums, even some of the vinyl discs from back in the day.

Here's another one of my favs:

R.Kelly's vocal range is crazy.

I haven't listened to this in a minute. This was the song:

Acapella is even better to me.

re: R&B Thread

Was just listening to a bunch of MC songs as I was putting together a couple of playlists...just on her (put together almost 60 songs)!

Love this song The Roof from the Butterfly album. The video is hot as is the artist. Mariah Carey is one of my favorite singers of all time.
