Fire & Desire!

There's another one of those songs that just hits you and takes you to another place. James & Marie were a perfect duet couple.

re: R&B Thread

Rick & Teena's chemistry was just...perfect. Like they were meant to sing with each other. Teena had a beautiful voice one of the greatest of all females, however I give the edge to Whitney. She was just on another level.

Btw, I love this thread.

I agree, Teena could sing her ass off.

Another one of my favorite SOULFUL and POWER voices is Tina Turner.

Here's a great cover of Otis Redding's (another soul legend) song. Rolling Stones also covered it.

Listened to Alexander O'Neal today. He was the man in the 80's.

Alright, it's time for some Prince in this thread:

I would have posted more (like Do Me, Baby and The Beautiful Ones) but Prince doesn't like his shit on YouTube.

Here's Beyonce performing The Beautiful Ones

As for some worthy Prince songs.. Too bad that this is a 90's thread and not 80's because Prince completely owned that decade.

Not too familiar nor ever really cared for his 90's stuff, but there is one 90's R&B track of his that sticks out in my mind

re: R&B Thread

This isn't about just 90's anymore. Soon as I seen a couple people talk about 80's R&B I changed the thread title to a more general theme.
