Re: R&B Music Discussion Thread

I'm not a JE fan either. Not saying the twins can't sing but I'll take 112 over them fairly easy. 112 has more songs I know I like so there's that factor as well. Then of course there's Dru Hill who I prefer over the both of them. BIIM still takes it collectlively as the best group with top level vocals & harmonies plus the catalog of classic records. Dru Hill could perform though, but so could BBD and 112 for that matter.

Re: R&B Music Discussion Thread

Dru Hill is great, but i'd put them behind 112 and JE. Sisqo has a great voice, but Jazz's voice always irks me and of the 3 groups they've got the weakest discography Dru Hill and Enter The Dru were great, but never cared for their latest 2). You're right though. B2M are the standard bearers for r&b groups

waiting on this Luke James album

Re: R&B Music Discussion Thread

From a pure vocal perspective it's:

Dru Hill
112
Jagged Edge.

But you're right about the discography.

I'm a fan. Multi-talented. Made dark skin whats in at the expense of us light skin dudes.3
I'd place him in the mid-level category of top R&B singers.

Re: R&B Music Discussion Thread

Would have been amazing if they worked together on a track. I'm sure there's some fan made mix out there with the both of them like that song posted earlier with the whole Timbaland crew.

"I Care 4 U" will always be my favorite Aaliyah song. So emotional and so beautiful. Baby girl had one of the purest and lovely tones with her voice.

For some reason Tyrese never comes up when talking about great singers. Dude is still pretty underrated. His first 3 albums are quality, especially I Wanna Go There (Signs of Love Making ). I don't care for his last two solo projects. The production is pretty meh and I don't know why he thought it was a good idea to start rapping. Nobody wants to hear that.

Speaking of Tyrese, the more I listened to the TGT album, the more I became a fan of it. I never didn't like the album, and it still sounds like a Tyrese album feat. Ginuwine and Tank, but the production is . Even the interludes are worth listening to. It's been in heavy rotation for a while.
