This thread needs some 'All time' favourite 10/20/40/50/More? songs lists, or a similar thread should be made, i'm intrigued to see some of your lists, I always find it easier to grow into an artist by hearing their best/most liked songs first rather than giving an album a play through from the first to last track.

In all honesty man, If you've listened to My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, Cranes or any other shoegaze band, you don't need to check out Beach House. When I listened to that particular album, I just heard "nice" sounding shoegaze music. It was boring.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost
It def has a lot more indie influence than an album like Loveless though, so I can see why it will appeal to him (and to me, in all honesty) as it's not just straight shoegaze. I agree it's not breaking any new boundaries or anything though.

Two of my favourite records ever made. I even have the former one on vinyl.
Bloom is good, imo. Of course nothing groundbreaking but a nice and relaxing listen.
Has anyone heard the new Antlers EP?

Eh, yeah.. I was just suggesting that chances are if you've heard a few shoegaze albums, Beach House may not be worth checking out. I didn't think the "indie" element was worth mentioning.

Alright. So I guess there is no absolute need to check it out. Listened to Frengers instead. Beautiful album.

Only 2 albums made. But those 2 are classics. 'Soon' is one of my favourite songs.
