Downloading now, I'll make time to give it a good listen over the weekend if I remember. Same with Empros, actually.

It's brilliant. It's the only album of theirs I've listened to though.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

In the process of putting my music back onto my laptop and mp3 player after both died like a couple of cunts. And I fully approve of the '59 Sound being listed. I'd probably call that one of my favourite albums of all time at this point, given the fact I've played it more than pretty much any non-Springsteen album over the course of the last 2 or so years.

Can't believe I missed you adding Texas Flood, too. I've played The Sky is Crying so often over the last couple years that I had almost forgotten how great Texas Flood was. I should make that song the soundtrack to my fucking life.

'59 Sound. So good. It was actually my dad who got me into them. He owns that album on vinyl.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

One of my friends turned me on to them. He didn't listen to Springsteen at the time (I changed that soon enough), but he got me to listen to them since he knew I was a fan and because of the whole Springsteen influence. Fell in love with them pretty much from the jump. Red at Night off of Sink or Swim is what did it, IIRC. God damn that song is fucking tremendous.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

Dunno what cat they fall under particularly but I would recommend these albums -

The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy and the Lash
Kirsty MacColl - Electric Landlady
Dropkick Murphys - Blackout
Bjork - Post

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

http://dogknightsproductions.bandcam...lencio-7-split

¡Silencio, Ahora, Silencio!, Spanish screamo, sounds like the 90s, FFO Orchid, La Quiete, etc. Their side alone is close to being my 7" of the year, and the Descubriendo a Mr.Mime side isn't too shabby either (just overshadowed). I'm genuinely at a loss to decide on my favourite releases this year, even if I limit it to screamo it'd be hard to keep it down to a top 10.

Fuck you, 2011, you've cost me a lot of money.
