Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

^ Looks interesting. Haven't gotten into them all that much, but I did give 3-Way Tie (For Last) a listen after stumbling on their BOC cover of "The Red and the Black". Good stuff, might keep the Doc in mind for a future viewing.

In other news, just wanted to say that the new Depeche Mode is SEX. Liked it a lot on first listen, but it really grew on me after the second, and now i'm convinced that it's their best since Violator. The track "Should be Higher" is incredible, and the whole album is very well crafted. It's amazing that these guys can still produce at a high level 30 years into their career.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

Not a bad track, but I 'd out big for a Knife return. Karin is great as always, and it seems like they're bringing in some of the minimalism of Fever Ray, and this has an interesting oriental flavor. Looking forward to the album.

Here's something I doubt many people will care about ether, but finding this in the morning was a true !!! moment.

Jon Hopkins is one of the most talented and creative electronic producers going today, and one of my personal favorites. I know I mentioned this before, but his last album "Insides" is amazing.

This teaser will give me many a sleepless nights.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost

Currently listening to the brand new Milk Carton Kids album 'The Ash & Clay'. They're not a very well known duo but totally worth checking out if anyone wants to listen to some soothing acoustic. They're kind of like an acoustic Everly Brothers, with a hint of Simon & Garfunkel. They're first two albums are actually available to download free from their website, so they're easy to access if anyone feels like it.

Best thing you can do is check out Double Nickels On The Dime. Quite often now it's the only Minutemen I'll put on, but it's one of the seminal albums of the 80s. Almost flawless double LP, and only really made to out-do Husker Du's Zen Arcade.

Cool, might give it a listen before or after I get into the doc, if it's an improvement over 3-way tie then it should be stellar. Would be nice to get a feel for more of their original tracks rather than a bunch of covers.

So we were lucky enough to be able to exclusively release a music video from a Belgian screamo band called The Homeless - that in itself is pretty cool, but the song is great too. http://n0ted.net/exclusive-the-homeless

Congrats! Not a big fan of screamo, but I was able to get through that and enjoy it.

Might write my 5th article for the website sometime this weekend if I have the opportunity, so stay on the lookout for that.
