Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost
As far as mainstream rap albums go, the Marshall Mathers LP is damn near genius. I honestly can't remember an album since, with charting singles, that's engaged me that much. For an album of that magnitude, there are so few skippable tracks, even when compared to the likes of Jay Z/Tupac/even Biggie. Christ knows how many years since it's dropped, and I've never gotten bored with it.
Been listening to For This World Is Hollow And These Hands Have Touched The Sky's tour cassette a lot recently, recommended listening for anyone that likes 90s screamo (before it went shit). Unsurprisingly, it's on mediafire, but the recording is awful, just a heads up.

Agreed. Same with the Slim Shady LP for me.

Yeah, that's an awesome record. I'd rate it slightly lower, simply because there's a few more tracks that I don't love compared to MMLP, but I'll happily listen to it any time. Been really enjoying the Slim Shady EP a lot recently, too. So far removed from what he's become as a rapper.

^ No problem. Let me know if you like anything in particular and I'll try toe expand based on that.
@ Gimmicks ~ I think Marshall Mathers LP is the better overall album (just) but I always have a bias towards Slim Shady LP because it has my favourite Eminem track ever on it (If I Had..).

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost
That is a ridiculously great song, but it's inclusion on the Slim Shady EP along with a (IMO) slightly better version of Just Don't Give A Fuck means I usually end up listening to that.
Just ordered a CD by an Australian band called Raccoon City Police Department. I have high, high hopes for it based solely on the name, one of the best band names I've heard in a long ass time.

Now I've heard it, I'm digging it and it seems like a good enough purchase. Don't know why, in this day and age, I didn't listen to it before clicking 'buy'.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost
I'd listen to it but that would mean pausing Blackwater Park, which is obviously something I'm not going to do.
I will tomorrow, though.

Re: i$e's Magical Music Megapost
Now Opeth are a band that I keep meaning to really try and get into, but I never have. It's definitely not a heaviness thing seeing as I'm listening to Anaal Naathrakh at the moment, but it's just never happened. Going to make an effort tomorrow.
Is Blackwater Park the best introduction to the band, or are any other albums a better starting place (keep hearing good things about Ghost Reveries, for instance).
