Less than five years old might be too old for Tony though.

Let me ask you something you guys , do you listen to anything that isn't really old? At all?

I mean , yeah some old music is great but it seems almost like you guys have some "I listen to old stuff , even the not-so-good old stuff , and it means I'm smarter than everyone who doesn't" superiority complex going on with it or something? Its almost like by default... any music thats old is automatically better in your minds simply because it is old?

Old =/= good. New =/= bad. But it would almost seem you guys really do think all old music is by default superior and all new music is by default shit?!?!!

I also wonder how can anyone hang onto that stuff so long? I too like some old music , but old and new music both grow old and at some point I just have no desire to deliberatley play any given music anymore. If old music is old , that puts it even further down the list of out-played imo.

So its like , are you guys just really old and clinging to the past like its the side of a cliff you fell off? Or are you guys young guys who just discovered the stuff and all the old music isn't worn out to you yet cause to you its technically new?

Some of the funniest theories I've ever read, thank-you. Old music by the way does not suddenly lose its appeal just because it's old - you do realise that millions of people everyday still listen to the works of Mozart, Bach and Beethoven and will continue to do so for hundreds of years more.
Really good music will remain good despite any advancements in technology - same with literature and film.

I do like new music but each decade seems to get worse as in general the work ethic has become a lot weaker with a lot more focus on all the glitz and glam of awards ceremonies as opposed to writing and releasing music. If you look at how many songs Buddy Holly wrote in a three year time period it leaves you with an impression of how the music industry has become less of a job and more of a lifestyle.

What, no rating for BOC?

And today's popular music consists of crappy radio rock bands and Justin Bieber. Is that the kind of new music I should put up?

Well you see I wasn't saying that advances in technology make the music itself less good , but that anything you listen to you can get tired of it after a certain ammount of time/number of listens.

I think it'd be quite interesting if people started posting stuff like that and judging it subjectivley instead of throwing instant 0s , 1s, 2s, and 3s, as its ratings after listening to it for like 10 seconds....

10/10. One of the best songs ever made

And now lets try this one , just listen through the whole thing not like 10 seconds then throw a 2/10 on it or some crap , the singing is very impressive & enjoyable

5.5/10 - That was quite nice but it just sounds very recyclable.

I'll challenge myself though to only play modern songs for a while.

I wouldn't even consider this song that great but when asking myself about what music I have enjoyed over the last decade I actually have to concentrate which is something I don't have to do for other decades.

Most people that say. "Durrrr you think your better than me or something whaaaaa" are the type of people that are already pretty well off enough as it is and don't need to say something like that or are stereotyping people. Also I am a younger man, probably older than you but I listen to the old music because it's something I just stuck with. Before that I had been so sick to death of the main stream crap like the song you posted in your last video on this page that is all over the radio.

I got sick of that and like you said music gets boring if you listen to it too much and my thing was 90's I guess you could say Gangster Rap/R&B type of collaborations with that New York feel good sound to them. As I went on I had some troubles in my life and issues and when I got better I went away from Rap Music watching all the things I used to watch like Porn and just stuck to oldies music/Doo Wop/60's pop whatever and tried to have something to make myself continue to get better. I'm not a country/Christian type of fan so that stuff is corny and doesn't work on me. Yeah of course parents and grandparents were an influence but do I have a side of me that is angry at all of them of course I do. Do I wanna rebel of course but I just can't help it if I like the kinda music they do and hell I know more about it than any of them now at this point.

It doesn't happen very often that more than one person likes this old music but it does. In society sometimes people with the same styles and cliques or nationalities, religion whatever just grow on anything and you can't really explain how this happens. Here is a case where for once TWO people are posting older music videos and immediately the masses which is you have to post how this music is no good or whatever you said or we think we're better than you.

I heard some what you might call prog metal music from 2010 or 2009 and it was very good. I wouldn't say classic but the guitar was insanely fast and it had a unique sound as it was a instrumental. Now if I can say that was good I could say anything was good. That is a rare case. However you claim new music is good but you post a Kay Perry video instead of something like I just said or some rock song from present day and that to me is every reason why I hate music today because of music like that. Commercial/the in crowd MAY I DARE SAY "better than you" type of celebrity boring ass poorly written music that sounds like she's talking rather than singing. Yet for some reason because I listen to music from back in the day where people didn't think they were all that in a different time and didn't get overly paid millions of dollars and are probably living in a regular house right now and the music is actually good that WE THINK WERE BETTER THAN EVERYBODY ELSE. Give me a break man.

In wrestlings case just like music and anything else it is dying now because America has no culture or anything anymore so no form of entertainment is entertaining anymore and is just there to stimulate the mind into making people think a certain way rather than feeling good listening to a song with their girl by their side. That is what this country has came to. It's ridiculous and I hate it. You idolize these celebrities that you shouldn't give two shits about and their not even cool. Hell all the old music and old stuff was cooler and the new people copy it and do a piss poor job at that.

Music, Entertainment in general and everything else on TV besides sports and WWE today makes me completely angry and disgusted and it's not because it's main stream or I think I'm better. It's because there is real issues going on in the world and this shit is so pointless and retarded. Just listen to what you want. I hope your in style music makes you real happy to be alive because I know it doesn't make me happy at all.

I could go on and on but my mind is going in so many different directions right now I forgot what I was going to say next.

IF YOU DONT WANNA READ ALL OF THIS THEN DONT BOTHER COMPLAINING ANYMORE BECAUSE WE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT MUSIC. THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP.

Glad to see the review on that wasn't totally savage brutal harsh or anything , at least 5.5 means its at least slightly enjoyable

Nah you don't have to do that if you don't want to , I just wanted to get this old/new thing off my chest lol

As for the song you posted , I think I'll give it a 6/10 , its alright but I've def heard better songs from Staind

Hmm , lets try this one you seem to like mellow music and Interpols a pretty cool yet mellow modern band

6/10 Pretty generic but good none the less. That puppet creeped me the fuck out. Ok, we need some Rap in here now.
