Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Yeah it's great. Duh. Couple of tracks I'm not really into yet after a few listens but could be growers. Strawberry Bubblegum and Let The Groove Get In are just amazing. Not sure I'd call it his best album off first impressions but I've only listened to it a few times through. What I love though is how different is to FS/LS and Justified and how even them albums are different to each other. So none are really all that comparable. They all bang though.

Pusher Love Girl is great, but I thought it sounded better live at the grammys. Maybe it was the orchestra.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Apparently 20/20 experience is a 2 part album.
Just read that part 2 is coming in Nov.

From Questlove

"spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now.....10 songs later= 20 vision)"

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

On iTunes I listened to The 20/20 Experience because it was streaming for free so I decided to give it a shot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much in fact that when I saw the album in my local grocery store I bought the album right away. Apparently the official release was suppose to be Tuesday but we got it early. I'd say JT, Timbaland & co. have done a great job with the production and it is just a fun listen from start to finish.

I really can't say there's a song that I dislike but I love Spaceship Coupe, Blue Ocean Floor, and Pusher Love Girl. I will definitely be playing some of those dance tracks like Let The Groove Get In (I thought I was going to hate this when I read it had a "Latin flavor"), Don't Hold The Wall, etc when I go to the gym. Great stuff from JT. I need to listen to the entire album again but initial thoughts are a thumbs up.

Edit - Just found out there are two bonus tracks available on the Target exclusive albums. I hate when record companies do this but I'll listen to them on the net and dl if I like them enough.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Here are some snippets from Beyonce's upcoming album. I actually don't mind that tune.
