Wiggle...wigggle...wiggle...yeah. Songwriting geniuses, obv.

What's arguably even more shocking than their success is that these guys are related to Berry Gordy. Ya srsly.

You shouldn't take their music that seriously honestly. They'll probably be on a list of one-hit wonders by the end of the decade.

The girl is industry product. Without her label and writing team she'd be toast music wise. She's probably one of the worst live performers as well.

She sucks. You'll hear no complaints from me. Another chick trying to scam on Gaga's "unusual originality" that has been marketable. (oh I'm totally serious) Pisses me off.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Rihanna relies more on her sex appeal and what her team wants her to look like. It's always felt very fake from Umbrella on. Lady Gaga's really not my cup of tea but you get the sense that a lot of the direction in her career comes from her. Even if she's not totally original herself.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Gaga couldn't be the first to do any of the things she's done simply because Madonna & Cher carved the path for her. I'm just annoyed that what set Gaga apart from them is now being replicated by far too many other Pop singers right now. It's "hip" to be odd now all because Gaga blew up.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

It may be true but the girl just won't go away. The funny thing is she's more popular outside of the U.S. even though it's the biggest music market. She hasn't had a album debut at number one in six tries.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread

Why are we all talking about Rihanna in the Taylor Swift thread?

Yeah but seriously, Rihanna is very awful. She pumps out a crappy album every year, and this year its even nominated for a Grammy for AOTY, lol.
