I'd give the honor of "Pop Album Of The Year 2010" to "Teenage Dream" By Katy Perry , easily

Can't think of any others that deserve a mention that haven't already. (Swift, Goulding, Vickers, Mars) Not a big fan of Katy Perry's album though. Headlines has had a fair few plays on my iPod too I guess. Ellie Goulding's is probably the best of the bunch for me.

Not sure if this goes here.

Been listening to some different music lately, my dad's been downloading the top 500 Rolling Stone's albums.

Listening to Prince. This guy is fucking amazing. It's amazing what you can discover when you try to get something else.

Where are you getting those 500 albums from? I've listened to a bunch of albums from that list simply because I listen to a lot of those artists but there's a lot of 60's/70's stuff that I haven't.

I've always loved Prince. Purple Rain is probably my favorite of his albums but Dirty Mind is right up there.

I've been getting into Erasure, great group. I have Always stuck in my head from playing Robot Unicorn Attack.

My dad's been downloading torrents at work I think. I still need to get much of the music from it, there's like 50 gig he's got so far. But out of listening to something different, i took:

Prince - Dirty Mind
Prince - 1999
Run DMC - Raising Hell
Notorious B.I.G - Ready To Die
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
The Clash - London Calling
Velvet Underground - Loaded: Fully Loaded
Jeff Buckley - Grace

Only listened to the Beastie Boys album, which I really enjoyed. Lots of energy on that album.

The only thing I haven't listened to in that list is The Velvet Underground one. The rest are great albums.

1999 has a little too many extended jams for my taste but it still has some of Prince's best songs. Run DMC's lyricism and mic skills have never been that great to me but they make up for it with their energy and how much their music rocks.

From what i've heard of it, Teenage Dream is the best pop album of the year.

Prince is fantastic! I became a HUGE fan after seeing Purple Rain (the movie), which also led to me becoming a HUGE fan of Morris Day & The Time.
