The Gotye collaboration is the only thing she's done that made her worth my time.

omg that Gaga/moron collaboration was AWFUL.

Yeah what she did with Gotye wasn't great at all. Her debut album Vows however is excellent and the best songs off it are just so check that album out. Trust Cody to think the opposite of you and me in regards to Gotye .

Might as well post this here since there's been alot of similar music being discussed as of late. New discovery of young Canadian Singer/Songewriter Stacey. Simplistic structure, but nonetheless beautiful, and the girl has a fantastic voice with tons of potential considering that this is her debut. Can't wait to listen to a full-length from her.

self-titled EP was released in December.

Of course. The poor bloke she sings about in the song should've thought twice before 'walking out the door and leaving her wanting more', gives a mischievous Canuck like me a means to capitalise.

If a song dubbed "Ayatollah of Moral Turpitude" is released off her album, I'll know the truth. I'll know.

this scenario for you & not for me, like how the banter usually goes.

LMAO, at that point she might as well start a band and call it " REO Speed Wagg'n ".

Spoiler for how the banter usually goes:

then they can cover this song as a b-side:

I'm looking forward to hearing what Adele has in store for 2014. I know and enjoy many of her records which delve into heartbreak and lost love or a longing of a love. Her back-to-basics singing in a wide land dance is where much of her appeal is at. I'm interested in seeing if she will continue those themes in her new work.

Wasn't on board during her initial rise to prominence, and still am not keen to her music bar one or two songs. That track, "Set Fire to the Rain", is utterly timeless.

Throaty voice aside, Adele is just a bit.... run of the mill. Boring even. Don't find anything appealing about her image, and her success is so deja vu, ala Alanis Morrissette or Norah Jones, two other artists I don't care for. There might be a few surprises considering she's reportedly working with William Orbit on her next effort, but still, I have many reservations about her.

She's not a favorite of mine, but she's got her good tracks out there to hope there is always a hit or gem on an album to win me over. All depends on the production of each song than her voice. Voice is there, but if it goes into a realm that can be boring (which is pretty fair on some aspects) then I'm out. I love powerful tracks if they're brooding & deep, but there also has to be a jolt of energy behind it.
