Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
good to see you checking out the layover, rock. like i said, i think its his best album yet. i still have high hopes for his second album in 2012, but at least we know he can always bring the quality on the mixtapes.
love his "rocket man" cover, btw. Bun B does a nice verse at the end too. all his covers are good though, which is why i'm glad he included them in this one. Drug Dealer Girl Pt. 2 was another highlight.
"Rumor Has It" is the only song from Adele's album i really listen to, but it wasn't bad. wasn't one of the best year either, or even close. but yeah, it was ok.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
I was most happy that he included a full version of his cover of Traveling Man, instead of that bitch snippet on his previous mixtape. I also really enjoyed the cover of The Scientist. But really no use naming individual tracks since the entire thing is good, imo.
EDIT- The preview of the track that's gonna be on his next album sounded great as well.

And hell yah, Speak Now is the better Taylor album. Bitches better recognize.
Oh, and I've listened to the iTunes previews for the live album(picking it up tomorrow). The live versions of the Speak Now songs all sound pretty eh, unfortunately. The three covers, on the other hand, sound fantastic. ESPECIALLY Bette Davis Eyes.

I wouldn't orgasm to her either (she's FAT).
Not really a fan of Adele at all. but idc who wins any of these music awards. I'm surprised people pay even the slightest attention to them.

Bette Davis Eyes cover is spectacular, but that's because the song itself is holy shit awesome.

It was only the 30-second previews that I heard tbf.

Eh, I don't either, besides the Grammy's. I know that they've lost some prestige over the years, but I still hold them in relatively high regard. Plus, they usually have several quality performances on the actual show. I only watch other award shows if T-Swift is on them.
Fan-voted award shows in particular have fuck all credibility.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
The only people here I know who follow them are the annoying chicks on FB that post about it. Then again, the awards are American, so I'd expect more people over there to care about them (or at least watch them) than over here.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
Back To December live is worth the price alone. And the video of the entire concert makes it a no-brainier.

Can't say I know anyone over here in the States that gives a damn about the awards either. Performances generally are the only interest.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
I can't believe that nobody's mentioned how talentless the LMFAO retards are yet.
For every step modern mainstream music could possibly take forward, these fuckers take it about 97 steps back.
Wiggle...wigggle...wiggle...yeah. Songwriting geniuses, obv.
What's arguably even more shocking than their success is that these guys are related to Berry Gordy. Ya srsly.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
I think everyone just figures it's for the best to ignore that LMFAO exists at all.
