I can't honestly even think of anything she could be easily compared to , so I'm really really enjoying the freshness of it. Sounds like she blends virtually everything under the sun (Except for metal & rap) into 1 thing. Might have to buy her latest CD at a store soon
P.S. : Don't get why this topic can't be sticky like the rock and rap ones are....

Agreed.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
Only listened to it once today and I'm ashamed I've had it on my hard drive so long and not listened to it yet. Really fucking good album. Better than both of Cheryl's I'd say atm. First half of it is fantastic. 2nd half is slower but still good. My Sexy Love Affair is one of my favourite pop tracks of the year so far.

God damn, Firework might be Katy's best song since Hot N Cold.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
Nadine's album was disappointing, it wasn't what I wanted from her at all.
So now it's down to you Nicola, save my GA inspired soul.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
favourite albums so far this year?
mostly asking in case people have something I misssed, I guess Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift(pop/country, w/e) would round out my top three. I'm sure I'm forgetting something although I can't think what at the moment.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
I would have to agree. Rather enjoyed Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift's albums. If you could class Rihanna's album as pop (which is a maybe), then it could be up there. It's definitely not as strong as the three mentioned though.

Re: Official Pop Music Discussion Thread
Katy Perry's is my fav so far this year. However, in December, with the way MICHAEL by Michael Jackson is looking, it could easily be taking the top spot.
