And when you said all that "rap is black cancer"-bullshit you totally failed. Try some of these goodies:

Public Enemy - By The Time I Get To Arizona: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRW6K5CvLFs
Brother Ali - The Preacher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djG9g5hCOfU
K'naan ft. Chubb Rock - ABC's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TfXtcvmkiw
Beastie Boys - Sure Shot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR-mtc7wqKo

And those are just a SMALL part of all good stuff there is. But if you don't like it, then fine, you are the only person who loses in this case.

From my opinion, rock music sucks at the moment, becouse there is not too much of groups trying to do something new that actually might sound good. Or maybe there is, but they don't get too much attention. The good thing is, there is plenty of genres outside rock that are great and filled with talented new artists.
To quote Noel Gallagher:

'I f***ing despise hip hop. Loathe it. Eminem is a f***ing idiot and I find 50 Cent the most distasteful character I have ever crossed in my life. It`s so negative. Eminem`s new song about his kid - isn`t it the most ridiculous piece of music you have ever heard in your life? I just don`t like the dragging women around on dog leads and all that stuff. I`m not f***ing having that. I`m not saying they`re directly responsible but that`s how you end up with these f***ing` gangs of youths with hoods stabbing people. I`m not saying they need to sit around listening to `All You Need is Love`. But kids are so f***ing` thick these days that they are very easily influenced, aren`t they?'

Speaking a lot of sense here if you ask me personally, and it sums up my feelings of rap/hip hop perfectly.

And to counter your 'rock music sucks at the moment' statement. You only needed to watch the recent Brit Awards to see that it was completely dominated by rock bands. And have you seen modern rock bands at the moment? Kasabian, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, The Courteeners. To say they 'suck' is completely and utterly moronic.

I believe that this fascination with rap(mainly 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay-Z, N-Dubz, Kanye West, Chipmunk, Skepta, Wiley, ect) will quickly die down this decade, and that the bands/artists that can actually perform well live will start to dominate, which is of course rock bands.

Both are two of the greatest British bands of all time.

What other bands are you interested in out of interest?

Personally, I have a very, very wide range in terms of my taste. Here are some of my fave bands, excluding those two:

Depeche Mode
AC/DC
Metallica
Nickelback
Killswitch Engage
Santana
Jet Black Stare
Blood Stain Child
Celldweller
Nine Inch Nails
The Eagles
Pink Floyd

And those are only some of my favourites .

Some good bands there mate, very good.

If you haven't already then I suggest you have a listen to:

Inspiral Carpets
The Jam
The Stone Roses/Ian Brown
The Smiths

Awesome rock music mate, them bands are where bands like Oasis and Verve got their inspiration from.
