I didn't say that, this whole your not better than me or better than anybody else really irritates me. The thing is the whole your not better than me I can never understand what you mean by it. I do think my music taste however is superior and better if that's what your implying. Just so you know when I'm listening to the Byrds and all this great stuff from back then I'm not thinking wow that idiot VaderFat and all the stupid kids my age that are in college right now listening to rap music suck ass. I am however glad of the taste in music that I've got and could care less if some bastards can't feel it or shit in the face of music by listening to rap when they are rich white kids that have never been to a rough neighborhood in their entire life.

And by saying that first statement, you are putting yourself on a pedestal. Get off your high horse, poncho.
I don't understand how listening to rap is shitting in the face of music. Seeing as how rap and hip-hop is music and by people listening to this music, they are in fact, supporting music.

It's like Hornswoggle. If Hornswoggle gets no more reaction and nobody cared about him anymore he'd go away. The same goes with rap. Rap is a black cancer on rock music as you know it. The reason I can't take your kind of music seriously and why it's not in the limelight that it once was is because of rap. For whatever reason since about 2000 these kids of yours and my generation have grown up and been into rap and don't know any better like we do. Yes some might know but not too many. Once the rich white kids bury rap music once and for all then rock music will live to fight another day.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
Rap is a cancer and I know it?
I love rap. Good rap takes alot of talent and I can appreciate it, much like I can appreciate most other genres of music. No music is a cancer, that's incredibly unfair to the musicians that work on said music.

ViolenceIsGolden, you sir, are a moron of the highest calibre. Truly, a brilliant lack of logic displayed by yourself has lightened up my day.

This.
If by that you mean the stuff from the best time in rock history 60's-90's. I have given up on rock music today. My friend I've known for a long time was saying how we both have great taste in music and we were listening to some of the Animals and a few other bands and songs I thought he might have never listened to before. He enjoyed it. Then he gave me these list of bands to look up. They were all these modern metal bands I've never heard of. Damn this music sucks. He's in a band, I guess they play that kind of stuff.

So you just quoted his post and talked about something completely irrelevant to it then? Sounds logical, again.
<3 VaderFat. Seriously.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
Personally, I have a hatred for rap. As in a MAJOR hatred for rap. But I don't have a problem with others listening to it. As long as they don't blast it in my ear, I really don't care.
Now, while I do agree that mainstream music has taken a downturn in recent years, it's important to remember that music is a subjective thing. It's an opinion of sorts. And while there are people that will agree with you, there are those who won't. And this being an opinion means that no-one can actually be wrong.
I like rock music. I like classical rock, I like metal, I like MetalCore, I like Alternative. I like many of these things. But there are people who think that my taste couldn't possibly be any worse than it is.

Oasis - Band of the 90's
Definitely Maybe, and What's The Story Morning Glory are my two favourite albums of all time, making Oasis by far my favourite band of all time. I know Liam Gallagher isn't the most popular celebrity in the world, but my god what a frontman.
Thoughts?

Re: Oasis - Band of the 90's
I didn't really ever get into much of there material besides What's The Story Morning Glory. I would put bands like Radiohead, U2, R.E.M. and Nirvana over them as the band 0f the 90's.

Best KISS album
To all the KISS fans out there, what album of theirs would you say is the best? I'd go with their debut. Classic songs and just good rock and roll. It was real KISS before they went commercial.
