I love all their CDs as they're tied for my favorite, but Phobia is definitely the weakest album so far. I wasn't too optimistic about their new CD but I enjoyed it, moreso than Phobia

Hollywood Undead's new song Tear It Up is pretty awesome. I can't wait for the new album.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
I was actually just about to talk about Hollywood Undead. I like "Tear It Up". I think it draws similarities to "Undead". I'm interested in checking out the covers on the album, wonder how it will be. Not too big a fan of "Dove and Grenade", but its still not bad. I consider their debut album very powerful and one of the best albums of last year.

Tear it Up is one of their best. I'm a big HU fan, and can't wait for the new album. They came out of nowhere and hit everyone hard. They might have haters but damn are they gonna go far.

Anyone who is a self respecting metal head has to listen to some Exodus:

Hollywood Undead was voted as the worst band of 2008 by Revolver Magazine. I concur highly.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
They would be because they are "Rap metal". All kinds of rock and metal magazine's would look down on them. Not to mention they are shifty between songs on their album.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
I really dig Hollywood Undead. Their last album really broke them through to become one of the current top rock bands. However, some songs on their last record were more rap than Rap Rock, Nu-Metal, Rap Metal, whatever you wanna call it. Hopefully this new album will really solidify them as a legit rock band.

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
Rap/Metal, Rap/Rock, Nu-Metal, whatever you wanna call it, was never popular amongst so called "real rock and metal fans" but who gives a fuck what they think, I think HU are solid, and I hope their next album will continue the step up.
I'd mark for a Nu-Metal/Post Grunge/Hard Rock etc resurgance amongst radio and TV etc, burying the awful tripe of emo pop and "Indie" rock that's basically everywhere atm.
