Black Dahlia Murder had a great debut. Then they switched singers and it felt a little different. Miasma was solid but nothing to keep me intrigued beyond that release. Are they still releasing music?
Yeah, 2011's Ritual is an album I picked up when it was released but it wasn't until last month that I really started listening to it and I'm loving it. Probably their best since Miasma, but I still like their other two, Nocturnal (2007) and Deflorate (2009).
One of my favourite music genres. Been blasting out the latest album from Latitudes. Fucking awesome. Also getting played a lot recently are Old Man Gloom, Jucifer, Noothgrush and of course, I have to listen to the Melvins every now and then.
Ghost doing an ABBA cover! with none other than Dave Grohl on drums and production, liking this much more than the track they released from forthcoming second album.

Awesome, sounds like they really cleaned up the vocals production wise. Words cannot express how excited I am for the new album.
On Black Dahlia Murder: Subjective of course. I love the driving rhythm and dual guitars floating around over top. Vocals seem secondary but I enjoy the loose rhyme schemes and storytelling ability. Have BDM brought anything new to the table? No, but they excel at what they do and have carved out a nice little niche in the genre through consistently solid albums and constant touring.
