True story: their bassist added me on Facebook and asked me if I wouldn't mind reviewing it (he saw my other Tumblr reviews) and I expected it to suck. Turns out I was badly wrong.

That's awesome. Seems like a cool way to find out about a band if you ask me. Especially if you up digging them.
I'll give that rec a go around. Guessing it's along the lines of another instrumental or music heavy/progressive type deal if you reference it to CWN-LWN.

Yeah it's this years best post-metal release IMO. Not sure if you're an Oceansize fan, but they'd be a good comparison too.

Ok, that was even better than Kato despite being two fairly different types of bands. I loved it. The general progressive sound is one I'm always drawn to now. Like Between The Buried & Me, Orbs, some Protest the Hero, etc. Towards the end of Exegesis I got a bit of a Tool vibe. Which I thought made some sense. Maybe it was just me.
I know Oceansize sounds familiar. However I can't quite put a song in my head to say I remember or know anything. I'll check them out right now.
