Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Sounds like me when it comes to the loads of bands I love from Europe. Enter Shikari being the main one. They rarely travel to the States, let alone California. Then they finally came around last year, only it was during the time I was on vacation and out of state.
FUCK. Still recovering.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
New Soundgarden is great.
Bones Of Birds is a powerful track.
Black Saturday, Been Away Too Long, By Crooked Steps are also pretty good tracks.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I think it's terrible in comparison to what they did.
New Deftones btw, will blow your socks off.

Yeah Corey does most of the harsh vocals live, although Matt will occasionally do them, specifically in a song like Dusk Dismantled. Also back when they released The Crusade album, apparently they would do Pull Harder without any harsh vocals, haven't seemed to have found it online anywhere though.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Wonder why Matt doesn't do the harsh vocals live. I can't say I mind since his clean vocals do suffice. It's just unexpected considering the recorded songs. Fits the majority of The Crusade songs however.
So, Pull Harder w/clean vocals was done? Bet that sounds like a completely different song when you hear it. Pardon the chorus.

Probably so he doesn't fuck up his vocal chords, I know he's been working hard on his vocals for a few years now which is why his clean vocals have gotten so much better in the last few years. I just wish Corey's vocals were a little better, or at least amp up his mic since his harsh vocals don't sound loud enough sometimes.
Anyways can't wait for their new album next year, I'm hoping for a cross between the Shogun and In Waves albums.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Most logical reason. Always heard that rumor so I had to ask. Too bad they're not gonna be at the California Metalfest come 11/24. I'd love to see them live.
Not really looking forward to Killswitch Engage w/original singer. The real draw for that show is gonna be As I Lay Dying & Bleeding Through. Oh, and Shadows Fall if they play their GREAT songs. Dammit I forgot about Chiodos & Dillinger Escape Plan too. I might just have a grand 'ol time at this show.
Suicide Silence has to be off the show now. They weren't my cup of tea, but still. That's terrible what recently occured.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I can't see Killswitch Engage being what they were without Howard, I thought Strength In Numbers by Times of Grace was good but it can't touch any of the great songs Killswitch did with Howard.
Is Bleeding Through any good? I've heard of them, I tried to listen to them on youtube (no idea what the song was) and didn't like them.
