So I'm going to be getting this boxset in the mail tomorrow So freaking pumped. I can't wait to get it, I mean I get excited watching other people open theirs on Youtube. I heard the mono box set is better, and I've listened to some of the differences between both. Gotta go with stereo though to get the entire catalog.

The new Beach Boys album is great. Its the first with new original material since 1992, and the first since the death of Carl Wilson (I'm not counting the Smile Sessions since it spanned many years). I missed their harmonizing, and the first track ("Think About The Days") is a perfect lead in to what we love about The Beach Boys. They said the album would be very "Pet Sound-ish" and I agree, it certainly is their best work in quite a while. Perfect summer album, and who knows might end up being my favorite album of the year.

It's a very simplistic song, I don't find it appealing either. It was decent until it got butchered over here (first by indie hipster radio JJJ) and then commercial stations. It won last years Hottest 100 but ten years ago would've struggled to get top 50.
