I just got done listening to Love (Part I and II). Its the double album that accompanies an Angels and Airwaves films, I believe. I'm not the hugest fan of AAA, but since its Tom Delonge I do listen to it and I am really starting to enjoy their stuff. Love Part I and II are better than anything we've seen from AAA yet. Its not spectacular or anything, but its got some great tracks on it. I want to see the film now to see how some of the music ties in with it. I actually like serious Tom, and like how it incorporated into the new Blink 182 album. I've listened to Neighborhoods about a 100 times, and think I might like it better than self titled from 2003.

I really didn't like the A&A sound incorporated into Blink. Ok if it was one or two songs but it felt like half the album was A&A influenced, and it hurt the punk rock sound I was hoping they'd keep (which they did to an extent).

Listened to the new Close Your Eyes on my 6 mile run this morning. Kept my adrenaline up for a good time. I liked what I heard, but I don't know if it has staying power.

Bastions' debut album and Witch Cult's LP both drop on Monday. Got them pre-ordered which means they probably won't turn up for another two weeks, but fuck, am I excited. Either one could be my favourite album this year. There has been lots of good shit out, though.
