Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
LP always seem to put on good live shows.
On the topic of ADELE tho, I hate her. So much. Ughhhhh. Makes a song that sounnds near identical to "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley and all of a sudden is famous.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
She's got a good voice on her no doubt, but that's it. Her music still sucks.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I'm not a fan of Adele but I did enjoy Linkin park's cover of Rolling In The Deep. It was a great cover just like Linkin Park's cover of Nine Inch Nail's song, Wish. However, I slightly prefer their Adele cover more.
Agreed, Linkin park can put on a solid show and both times I have been to see them, they have been fantastic and energetic. Furthermore, as much as I enjoyed their previous two albums, I hope they bring the energy back on their fifth album. They are now on a two month break before they tour Asia and it seems like they are progressing well on their next album. Fingers crossed for a 2012 release.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I'm not excited for their new album, I wrongly got my hopes up the last two times. I just don't like the sudden change they've made and ignored their nu-metal roots altogether. It's like a completely different band. Not a fan.
I'm waiting on RHCP, Blink, QOTSA and Pearl Jam this year. Offspring, Weezer, Soundgarden hopefully too.

Anyone got Limp Bizkit's new album (Gold Cobra)? If so, is it any good?

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I purchased Limp Bizkit's new album. I wasn't going to get it but I was a huge fan of Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavoured Water and so, I decided to get Gold Cobra. It's decent overall. Nothing spectacular but I enjoyed it overall.
Reney, I see where you're coming from with Linkin Park's music. With Minutes To Midnight it was an experimental album as they wanted to move away from their nu-metal roots, which is understandable as that genre is dead. As for A Thousand Suns, it was a unique direction for the band but I can see them slightly changing up their sound on their fifth album. I don't remember off by heart but from a recent interview, their next album was going to be more political and have less electronic sounds on in. Therefore, more raw. However, that may all change. I do hope they implement a more energetic sound on this album as that was severely missing on their previous two. Have to wait until next year though.
