Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Finished listening to the new Of Mice & Men album, The Flood yesterday. It's definitely an improvement to their debut self-titled album. The breakdowns are more creative and not just thrown in like they were on the first record. On top of that, there are more clean vocals, which is an added bonus as Shayley is a fantastic vocalist with some impressive pipes on him. Austin continues with his beastly screams on this and has really improved on his lower growls also.
Furthermore, I really enjoyed the bass on this album as it really kicks in on some songs and really stands out in certain parts on the album. Some fantastic tracks on this solid metalcore/post-hardcore album. Great stuff.
Of Mice & Men: The Flood - 9/10
