Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Because they haven't released anything in 5 years and were never that relevant to the grand scheme of things to begin with. First album was decent but it didn't blow me away or anything (and for the record I never bought it, my friend had it) and the second wasn't worth mensioning, in fact I can only remember one song off it.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
I've listened to Linkin Park's album, A Thousand Suns in its entirety a couple of times through now and I still can't form a definitive opinion of it. This is the sort of album you have to listen to again and again for it to sink in. There are some stand out tracks on the album like Burning In The Skies, When They Come For Me, Blackout, Wretches And Kings, Iridescent, The Catalyst and The Messenger.
However, some of those tracks still are missing something. Take for example the track Blackout. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it needed some guitar in there, especially in the chorus to match Chester's crazy screams. Also, I am not too sure how I feel on the song Waiting For The End. Chester's vocals are amazing on the track but I'm not a big fan of Mike's reggae rap style on this one. It just seems so out of place and odd. I do like the epic feeling towards the end though when the song picks up and Chester's voice gets more emotional, added in with the screams. Yet again though, this song seriously needed some guitars in it as it felt empty in parts. I just wish they didn't exclude the guitars and drums like they have on this album.
Nevertheless, I'll have to listen to it fully a few more times to form a respectable opinion.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
With the new LP album I really like "Wretches and kings" and I also like "The catalyst" , did 30 sec previews of the rest on itunes and Im thinking the album could be a piece of crap as a whole if I buy the entire thing?
Alot of the previews sounded like interludes of sorts or just boring , so Im debating between buying the whole thing , or just "Wretches and kings"

Each track sounds different from the other. If I was you, check out some of the tracks on the bands Myspace (which they have uploaded all the A Thousand Suns songs onto). Listen to a few of the songs and if you like them, download it. If not then just download the tracks that appeal to you.
Also, The Requiem is an awesome intro, along with Jornada del Muerto and Widsom, Justice And Love being fantastic interludes. The Radiance, Empty Spaces and Fallout are pointless interludes however.
Hope that helps.

Watching Fuse, Mark Hoppus says that Blink-182 are about to enter the studio to record. Album out 2011. While I'm disappointed it won't make this year, I still can't wait for it.

Re: Official Rock/Metal Discussion Thread
Thats some strongly worded shit you guys saying about ETF D: , I like the new songs personally I think they are sounding very unique now , and thats good.. I get real tired of generic sounding stuff any weird/risky-experimental elements to songs I usually consider a good thing
