How come the people on this forum are smarter than the people on some other forums?

If you go on the rock band or guitar hero forum and say something about Slipknot you generally get like 50 responses from jackasses saying they suck and whatever. You can try to get them to explain why but the shit they have to say never makes any sense at all. They're just jackasses.

It bugs me to see them get hated on that much and I'm not even a real fan of Slipknot , I just like them and totally do respect them as musicians.

I like how on this forum the people listen to , love , and respect music that isn't ancient

Well I really wouldn't expect many smart people on a Guitar Hero or Rock Band forum. I'm willing to bet most people on those forums are either people who flock to the games and don't know much about the bands on the games, or self righteous elitist assholes. Not to mention a lot of these people gotta be in the age range of 11-15.

I don't even care about hate on 'Knot. The already have a HUGE fanbase, and haters are just minuscule compared to it. I love their music, style, wardrobe, and their stage acts. I expect people to blindly hate on a band who wears masks anyways...

And as far as Stone Sour goes, they are also a damn good band. Can't wait for whenever their third album is out.

It's actually funny you mention what it lacks because it doesn't lack anything. The only reason I placed the first CD higher is because that album brought me into Slipknot.

I wouldn't even go as far as to say it's a better CD, their probably equal in quality but the time it came out mixed with how fresh their sound was puts Self Titled higher than Iowa. I still listen to both albums equally and probably should have rated Iowa a .5 higher but it's still one of my favorites.
