There is no way any of Arch Enemey's cd's are better then Doomsday Machine, it wasnt named album of the year for nothing, a classic 5 star album.

Well, I think most people who have followed Arch Enemy for most of their career, consider Anthems of Rebellion, or possibly Wages of Sin to be their best album. Anthems of Rebellion is my favourite, it has their best live song on it, We Will Rise, plus classics like Leader of the rats, Dead eyes see no future, End of The Line. Doomsday is still a quality album though.
But the argument of whats the best album of a band is pretty stupid in my eyes, everyone has a different opinion than the other.

Classic five star album? That's laughable.
It's a decent album, but come on. The vocal effects on that album weaken every track (good thing they did away with that crap on Rise of the Tyrant).

Just listened to Creed's new single "Overcome". Damn the song is very good! If this is how Full Circle will be, I might just have to purchase it.

Saw 'em live back in 2005, back when I was really into them. They're very good live.

That is true. See I always liked "Doomsday Machine" best because it's the album that brought me into liking Arch Enemy. Technically speaking it might not be the best or the worst AE CD but when I look at the band those songs from "Doomsday" stand out tallest.
To each their own.
People still enjoy listening to Creed? Odd. Just kidding

Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread
I thought the new Creed single, Overcome was pretty good. I'm more of an Alter Bridge fan but I did enjoy some of Creed's work from years back.
Also, I'm really enjoying I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin. I've heard a few songs from this band and they've always been solid tracks. I like the sound of the band but I haven't purchased any of their albums. I may decide to buy their Dear Agony album in the end.
I'm really looking forward to Dead By Sunrise, Three Days Grace, Breed 77 and Atreyu's upcoming albums. What a fantastic latter part to 2009.
