Last album you listened to?
Thought this would make a good thread - name the last album you listened to and comment on it/give a rating. Kinda like the "last movie..." thread.
yeah anyway...
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Really fucking quality hip hop album, pretty much goes without saying. Love how tight everything is, and with the trademark finesse of Dre's early stuff. Also I forgot how much Snoop Dogg features on this album and he actually adds to it well. Reminds me of when he didn't suck.

Re: Last album you listened to?
I'm actually listening to it right now, but its Blind Guardian - The Forgotten Tales. About half covers and half old songs of theirs. They covered Mr Sandman, Surfin USA, an instrumental of Queen's Spread Your Wings, Barbara Ann, and my personal favorite, Mike Oldfield's To France. It's a pretty enjoyable album if you like the more melodic serenading aspect of Blind Guardian.
Before that, I listened to Helloween's Rabbit Don't Come Easy. Underrated album, in my opinion. I really enjoy Andi Deris' voice, I prefer it to Kiske or Kai Hansen. Not sure what the best song would be, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Open Your Life.

Michael Jackson- Number Ones
There's really nothing I haven't listened to before on this album; I got it because it was cheap and easier to buy than the individual albums.
As far as stuff I haven't previously listened to, Behind the Front by Black Eyed Peas is actually pretty good. It came out before Fergie was in the group and is a solid rap album in the style of De La Soul.

Just Push Play- Aerosmith
Sort of a hit and a miss album. It's right on the edge of too poppy. Jaded, Beyond Beautiful, Just Push Play, Under My Skin, Trip Hoppin', Avant Garden, and Drop Dead Gorgeous are the best songs off of it. Light Inside is on the verge of annoying and catchy.
Definately not the best Aerosmith album, or even in the top 5 IMO. Let the Music Do the Talking and A Rock In a Hard Place are worse than JPP though.

Cage The Elephant. I heard their single "Aint No Rest For The Wicked" on the radio, and decided to listen to the whole album. Its a little different style than what I normally listen to, but a great album none the less. Each song is unique and has great musical quality to it.

Guns N' Roses- Use Your Illusion II
I love these guys. Their first three albums were all amazing in their own way. Chinese Democracy was also good, but I have a lot more connection with the old Guns N' Roses.
Anyways I think we can sticky this thread, if it gets replies on a regular basis.

Killswitch Engage - Killswitch Engage
I was a little disappointed with this album. It was good, but it didn't blow me away like As Daylight Dies. Most of the songs were forgettable, with the only songs off the top of my head that really I enjoyed were "A Light in a Darkened World" and "This is Goodbye".

Re: Last album you listened to?
Damien Rice - 9
Rice's second album, and the solemn man gets angry. Rice is one of the best lyricists around today, and the songs on this album evoke passions and deep emotions in the listener other singer/songwriters couldn't dream of reaching. A fantastic album everyone should listen to.
Just put on Kashiwa Daisuke's 'Program Music 1'. The most talented electronic composer of the decade? Fuck yeah
