Compared to works like Outre, Vexovoid's more condensed, coherent.. doesn't overrun its course. It's also a suffocating release, not so much bewildering like a DSO record (which some compare this to).

Last year I was very quick to jump on GKMC as best rap/hip-hop album of 2012, but in retrospect, this is by far my favorite of that genre. While Kendrick hooked me with simple, infectious and unique music and I still really like the record, Skelethon is like an onion I'm still peeling layers off of seven months and several hundred listens later. Both lyrically and musically.

this one was rec'd to me by blarg during a talk on MBV/shoegaze and a good shout indeed, like an electro take on the genre, also hear bits of Cocteau Twins and krautrock in there, nice melodies, good stuff.

skimmed through the Misfit's new live album, DEA.D. ALIVE. It was alright. I enjoyed it more than THE DEVIL'S RAIN mainly because Jerry threw in some older stuff like SCREAM, DIG UP HER BONES etc etc...
