It's a pretty enjoyable album if you like the more melodic serenading aspect of Blind Guardian.
Before that, I listened to Helloween's Rabbit Don't Come Easy. Underrated album, in my opinion. I really enjoy Andi Deris' voice, I prefer it to Kiske or Kai Hansen. Not sure what the best song would be, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Open Your Life.

Lord of the Rings, ftw.
Honestly, even after listening to so many bands from different genres, Blind Guardian still remains my favorite band. They have thrashy songs, proggy songs, operatic songs, ballads, killer solos and riffs - the whole package.
Kai Hansen is also one of my favorite musicians - Gamma Ray is an awesome band.
Currently listening to (ie, repeating after previous spins),
Nirvana -
Bleach.
Sodom -
Tapping the Vein (Truly unique among thrash albums - borders on death).
