Album is seriously underrated. Just a guy making the most of what he obviously believes might be his only opportunity to make a record and turning out an incredibly jaunty and lyrically dense album. Only miss is 'Mary Queen of Arkansas.'

Just listened (well am listening to) 'Pontiac' by Lyle Lovett. Fucking guy is the real deal. People better get wise. 'Walk Through the Bottomland' is just fucking punching me in the scrotum right now.
