My Ill Niño: Enigma album arrived today. I've only listened to the first 6 or 7 tracks but so far, phenomenal! You can notice the huge difference since their Revolution/Revolución album. And from what I've heard so far, this is their greatest effort so far on an album. You can notice a softer side to Enigma, however, there are some standout heavier tracks on this album compared to their previous work.

The tracks that stand out so far are: Pieces Of The Sun, March Against Me and Compulsion Of Virus And Fever. Excellent tracks.

I'll have to listen to Enigma, it its entirety tomorrow along with my In Flames album. As that should be arriving tomorrow also!

You really like this album the best?? I went through it only once so far and was kinda disappointed. I mean there were some solid tracks on it but could have been better. I have not listened to Revolution Revolucion or One Nation Underground in long time but I liked Confession more then this newest album.

You will like new In Flames album though. It was pretty solid all the way through. My favorites on it were A Mirrors Truth, Disconnected, I'm The Highway & Condemned.

I never implied or stated I like this album the best out of their other work. I claimed it was their best effort (to seperate the band from their old sound). And I can't exactly give my overall opinion on the album just yet as I have yet to hear it in its entirety.

But I agree, Confession is an awesome album. I'm unsure if it is my ultimate favourite out of the 4 though, as I loved the One Nation Underground album, which contains some of my favourite tracks. I have not heard the Revolution/Revolución album. But I will be purchasing it in the upcoming weeks.

It'll probably take me a couple of listens through Enigma to distinguish the ranking of my most favourite Ill Niño album.

How so? That entire album (Self Titled) is so eclectic, it's amazing. I too didn't like it when I first heard it, but it has grown on me. The song has a great messege in it, and I liked that they approached it in a kind of fun way, I suppose. Self Titled is easily the best A7X album so far. I hated STST and WTF, it was such a waste of Shadow's talent, vocally. With COE I think he was still finding out that he can sing well, and mix it with the rasp he uses as well. With ST, his voice is very powerful and centered.

I prefer Ill Nino's One Nation Underground compared to Enigma.

That's because, they have a fair few songs with minimal screaming, so really, my opinion isn't that valid.

Ah sorry man I must have just read it wrong. I agree that they did separate this album from there older albums in terms of sound for sure just not to my liking as much. Sure if I give it a couple more listens though it shall grow on me like all there music has.

I've listened to it a few times, and it just screams Pop to me. I like pretty much all the softer stuff on the album, but that one just sucks.
