Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
^^ObZen is fucking killer. Not as complex as some of their other albums but they still provide that insane technical brutality with those weird ass time signatures that I love. Great album and I've listened to some DEP before, pretty sweet but haven't heard enough really.

Re: Details on New Weezer Album
I hope they go back to sounding like what they did on The Blue Album and The Green Album.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Yeah Meshuggah are decent, but IMO they try to hard to be technical.
Anyone listen to The Haunted, just downloaded an album by them finally and its pretty good. I always thought they were MetalCore by what people say, but theyre more trashy-melodic death metal.
Or anyone listen to Necrophagist? Im going to see them live soon and cant wait, theyre very technical german death metal, not your average death metal band.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Anybody know any bands that would have same kind of sound as Fu Manchu?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=njsKBNmakw0 Something similar to that.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
^You've probably already heard of them but Corrosion of Conformity is pretty good stoner rock.

The Haunted are definitely more thrash than that metalcore stuff, at least their older albums are I haven't listened to anything beyond On Kill wonder. So they might have changed since but Great band. Check out "The haunted made me do it." if that wasn't the one you DL. Probably their best.
