First time I heard of 12 Stones was when the singer did vocals with Evanescence on Bring Me To Life. I thought his voice on that song was awesome so I got the album, didn't think that much of it.

12 Stones are good, but the new album is not that good. I like the debut one the most.

The Offspring is sweet, live and studio.

One of my favorite bands. I just find it odd how bands like Nightwish and HIM get stuck with the label of being 'goth'. Its a bit dark in some songs but honestly, just lame.

Nightwish's new singer > old, imo.

I don't dislike them, I LOVE them. I am guessing you misunderstood what my post meant. Its laughable to call them decent since they are truely an amazing band. My all time favorite bar none.

I've only heard a couple songs from nightwish, is it wrong that for some reason they remind me of evanescnce?

Its wrong only due to the fact that your are comparing Nightwish to an inferior band.

Gave these a look on youtube and cannot believe I have never gave any of these bands a listen before. Some pretty awesome songs in this genre

Yeah, I have most of the albums by the first 2. Evanescence fall into that catagory as well and popularised that style of music.
Within Temptation did the Bring Me To Life routine with What Have You Done.

Evanescence's first album "Fallen" was good, I loved it. But their second really didn't appeal to me.
