Silence is an awesome song. I also like Breathe. Sevendust is pretty good in my book.

Is it wrong that I'm checking different sites like every half hour to see if All Hope is Gone leaked yet ?

Yes, be patient and buy the album like a true fan
I like Sevendust, the lead singer has a really nice voice. And I like the fact that Wes Borland joined Marilyn Manson. They haven't really been good since 2001. And I am excited to see how this will turn out.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
The new Rasmus video has premiered! People may remember The Rasmus from their breakthrough album, Dead Letters. Many may have heard their hit singles, In The Shadows and Guilty. But I doubt many on here will like them due to their "pop-vibe" included in their songs.
This is their first single off their new album, Black Roses and is called Livin' In A World Without You. This video is awesome, possibly the best video they have done to date. The story (of the video) is Lauri Ylönen (the lead singer) is with this woman and both have possession of this Black Rose. However, the rose is rather special as whatever it touches, turns to crystal. Lauri Ylönen is suspicious of the woman as he knows she is planning to steal the Black Rose. She calls in the female SWAT team to try and take the rose but Lauri is aware of her intentions and so, tries to protect the rose and escape.
Overall, I like it.
You can find the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA4nTLMjPZA.
Hope you enjoy. The song is a rock/electro/pop type song. Very different compared to In The Shadows but damn, it has such a catchy chorus. So I guess those who despise that sort of music to simply ignore this message. Anyone who likes it, feedback is welcome.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
I remember seeing the Rasmus getting mud thrown at them by the whole crowd at a gig in england a few years ago. Never heard of them after that.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Yeah, at the Reading Festival back in 2004.
I felt sorry for them because I read that those idiots decided to throw a knife also at the lead singer and it hit him. But luckily the handle end hit him. However, I'm unsure if it was at the Reading Festival or somewhere else. But it's a fact that the bassist got hit pretty hard by the bottles and needed stitches above his eye after the show. Pathetic how some people react. What was even more saddening was how the lead singer always stated his dream was to play at a big festival here in England. He always wanted to play the Reading Festival, one day. His dream came true and some of the British public that attended there went and acted like heartless, disrespectful fools. There was just no need for it. Sure, you paid your ticket. But why would you go and watch a band you don't like, just to jeer them and throw things? Are you really that sad? Really shows how petty you really are and how you need to grow up, seriously. Many Rasmus fans were there and were excited to see them, only to have it ruined by these people. Unreal.
However, I can somewhat understand why people were angry that The Rasmus were there. People looked at them as undeserving of playing there and they were never welcome. They had one hit single, In The Shadows and suddenly, they're booked for Reading. That didn't make any sense. And what's more, people looked at them as that Finnish band that have only done one album with a "one hit wonder". When in actuality, they have released (counting Black Roses) 7 albums in total. They didn't form in 2002-2003, like people thought. They formed in 1994. The lead singer even quit school just to concentrate solely on the band. They worked their asses off to get here and look how they were treated. I believe they shouldn't have been booked so soon. Not just due to the fact people were only familiar with one hit single. But because they needed to rest.
They were treated better though before that at the Rock am Ring. However, they weren't that good live. But there was a reason for that. They had been doing a huge tour to promote the Dead Letters album over here in Europe and so, because of the success of the album they had an extended tour. They had no rest. They had been working their asses off for a long time and it took a toll on the lead singer. But in reality, they are very good live and very energetic. When they returned to Europe after the Reading Festival incident, they put on some amazing shows. They were basically pouring and dripping with sweat after 10 minutes. I have their Live Letters DVD and they are awesome live. And the lead singer, Lauri Ylönen's voice has improved. He doesn't seem as out of breath when they did their extended tour back in 2002-2004.
Hopefully, The Rasmus are treated better this time around. I'm sure they'll have their dedicated haters here waiting to criticise them for their music as soon as they hear it. But I hope they can at least show some respect this time around. And by that I mean simply avoid them. If you don't like what you hear, then leave it be. Don't go and watch them and act like a complete moron. As causing physical harm to a band is a disgrace.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Bands should take the Josh Homme approach (Queens of The Stone Age frontman) if they want to avoid getting stuff thrown at them

"This Dickless Fucking Turd has no friends anyway, man". Lol, love it.
That is how all bands should treat fans who throw stuff. Absolutely brilliant stuff.
