Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
So I want to start off by saying that Cruefest was the most amazing fuckin show I've ever been to. If they are coming near you, get yourself some tickets because you will not want to miss it.
I set the bar high, so high that I was afraid I should've lowered it because I would be disappointed because my expectations would not be met, well there was no need to worry about that, it's safe to say that each band was absolutely amazing. I really got into Papa Roach a lot more than I thought I would, especially when they played "To Be Loved", Jacoby is quite a showman, especially when he ran off the stage and jumped right into the water at the end of the set.
Sixx AM was the sleeper band. Those guys really know how to rock. Their guitar player is really good, and they played a slammin' set. After their set, they walked down near us and my friend and I were literally a high five away from the singer and the guitar player. They walked through the place like it was nothing.
Trapt wasn't too bad, I'm not a huge Trapt fan, so whatever, but they were rocking.
Buckcherry was great too. I'm not completely hooked on them yet, but they're a pretty sweet band, but of course, the main highlight was Motley Crue.
Wow what a roar when these guys came out. Mick was absolutely awesome, he was moving around the stage and everything. Nikki, who was rather motionless when he played with Sixx AM, was jumping all over the place, Tommy was awesome as ever, especially when the titty cam came around. Vince was great as well. It seems that his out of breath singing has become the new way he sings Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart, but he was actually looking pretty good, and his voice was dead on tonight.
The first song was Kickstart My Heart, the songs they played off of SOLA were SOLA, Sick Love Song, and Mutherfucker of the Year. The encore of course was Home Sweet Home, and what a great song that was. Never in my life have I seen such a dazzling display of lights and oh my god, pyros up the ass. The first two songs were Kickstart My Heart and Wild Side, and they shot pyros off basically every chorus and many times in between. Amazing amazing show.
I'll shut up now.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
why did they have to put "All hope is gone" Sideways? i hate that! there is room for the text in the bottom imo, so why didnt they put it there?

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
I like Corey Taylor's side project Stone Sour more than I like Slipknot. I just can't get into really heavy metal, I like to be able to listen to music that I can understand without having to go to the booklet for the lyrics.

^^ I'll never understand why they'll need 9 band members.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
CrueFest sounds good, i saw bits and bobs of the concert on youtube from what people posted up. the new Slipknot album cover doesn't look bad. And I agree, they really do not require 9 members.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Yeah I was actually gonna say that. He meant This Aint a Love Song. And it sucks that they didn't play Animal in Me, White Trash Circus, or Down at the Whiskey. those songs are stellar.

Linkin Park have 6 members, not 9. But I too, question why Slipknot really require 9 members. There is just no need for it. Ah well.
