No.
I'm cool with people hating on screaming vocals but dude you bitch about it all the time. Let it be, people enjoy that type of music like you enjoy your music. Hating on a style of singing/screaming is rock bottom in my opinion.
So, what's normality?
Just because they don't sing like motherfucking Axl Rose doesn't mean they don't have talent or can be a "good singer". All that matters is them entertaining their fans and I'm pretty sure most of the fans of screaming aren't repulsed by it.
Plus dude you said you liked Metalcore, half of Metalcore is everyting your apparently hate so that makes no sense at all.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Meh, there's a crowd out there for that type of vocals or they wouldn't sell CD's. It's not my thing at all, never has been but it's what they do. It's their niche and they should stick with it.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Any Puddle of Mudd fans on here? I have been a big fan of these guys since Come Clean. I really loved that album. The tracks on there were brilliant. I always thought Wes Scantlin had a really awesome and unique voice. Their follow up album was not as good, but I still liked it. I like Famous and think its better than Life on Display.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Death metal can be good in small doses I prefer a little more atmospheric type music which Is why I gravitate towards some more Black Metal and Doom. People bitching about growling/screaming whatever is funny though, not all bands have to sing the same. If they did it'd be pretty damn boring if you ask me. Sometimes you want to hear that aggressive yelling/screaming.

Only recently became a fan, my brother brought home Famous. I think it's a real solid album. Psycho and Radiate are probably my favourite tracks on the CD.

I like Black Sabbath with Dio and Ozzy. I'm not really a fan of any of the other eras of Sabbath. Been to tons of Sabbath concerts. Dio is a much better singer than Ozzy. Ozzy needs to quit now he's only 59 but he sucks now days. Dio is turning 66 in like three days and still sings like a god.
My favorite Sabbath records are:
1) Dehumanizer - Very underrated
2) Black Sabbath
3) Master of Reality
4) Volume 4
5) Heaven and Hell
I'm not that big of a fan of Paranoid to be honest. Theres some good songs on that album but it's not in my top five favorite Sabbath albums. "Fuck all the rest Black Sabbath's the best"

I 100% agree. I listen to Death/Black metal in small doses as well. But I appreciate their effort and know for a fact that takes talent to growl/scream for sustained periods of time.
