Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
I had some money in my pocket today, so I decided to buy an album. I was looking for In Utero, but because I could not find it I bought Nevermind. The album is not bad. I didn't bother listening to Smells Like Teen Spirit or Come as You Are. Some songs on there are pretty good. Polly, Drain You, and Something in the Way for example.

Theyre pretty big bands from where I come from, legends around here, a pity Phil died so young, a musical genius I think. Gary Moore is a great guitarist too. These bands are old rock bands from the 70's/80's, btw. Check them out if you like that era.

Rory Gallagher is one of the most underrated guitarists I've ever heard. I absolutely love the guy. I love his bluesy style and can listen to him play for hours.

^^ Yeah he is indeed. Theres a statue in Donegal here of him, in his hometown, when he died. Such a talented guy, and doesnt really get the recognition he deserves, in fairness.
My dad was a massive fan of him, thats how I heard of him, my dad told me like that when he'd go to his gig in a bar, that Rory would come over to the bar and just sit with him and his friends, or any fans that were there and have a drink and chat. Would love to have met him.

one of the first albums I ever bought, Breed is a pretty good song off that album if you ask me.
And to the person who quoted me on the last page, if you're checking out Bless The Fall, "Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad" is probably their best song.
Bring Me The Horizon's best is probably "Traitors Never Play Hangman" or "Medusa"
The Devil Wears Prada's is definetly "Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over"

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Just found out All That Remains has a concert coming up soon. Can't wait for that.
Now I just need Lizzy Borden to come here, and get tickets to Tom petty this summer, and I am set.

That was actually the first song that got me into BMTH, however I still need to get their albums. But I did borrow their second album off my friend and I enjoyed it.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
I just got into Killswitch Engage and am enjoying them right now. Howie is a much better singer than Jessie which makes it good that he is the current singer.

I like Gary Moore. I had the best of both worlds with him growing up and listening to Wild Frontier, After the War then Still Got The Blues a year later. It was a shock back then but not one now.
Whatever style he plays he's smoking!

When you say second album do you mean Count Your Blessings? Because that has basically all their songs, seeing as the first, "This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For" is just a 4 track EP.
Still recommend getting both, "Traitors Never Play Hangman" and "RE: They Have No Reflections" are two of their best songs and they're both on the first EP.
