New one this year, rit?
Hanging out for the release of Shinedown's third album, May 18th is the date. On Us and Them, Save Me and I Dare You did great.. I'm oblivious to the reason as to why there are no Shinedown CDs being sold in Australia, when you've got other bands people have never heard of

Anyone here a fan of Dethklok? Never thought that an animated Metal Band would become so popular. I love Thunderhorse!

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
not really a fan of metal in general, but black metal has been a big part of my life.
Some bands include:
Satyricon
Darkthrone
Mayhem
Dimmu Borgir
Enslaved
Einherjer
Thorns
Burzum
Tulus
Koldbrann
Windir
Yeah I know they are all Norwegian, nothing else "does it" for me tbh.

Metal is metal and rock is rock. The complete definition of both will never be agreed upon, hence the title - Rock & Metal.

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Yeah, personally I don't like how they define every bit of different rock or metal, their just heavier, softer, more riffs, better lyrics, whatever, but their fundamentally the same. I really don't see a difference between and band considered "Hard Rock" like Velvet Revolver and a band considered heavy metal like Throwdown or something, doesn't make sense why you'd classify the two as completely different
**puts up flame shield** Anyone here like....Stone Sour

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
^^ Yeah theres many different types of metal. Im not a fan of all these sub genres, but there has to be a few genres of metal to distinguish bands.
Anyway, anyone think Metallica's new album with be another ST.Anger? Or will it be back to their glory days?

Re: Rock & Metal Discussion Thread.
Well it'll most likely be an improvement from St. Anger. Bob Rock got ousted as the producer and Rick Rubin in his place, so that change is probably for the better. Lars also said that the album would me more like the band's 80's stuff than their newer stuff like St. Anger and Load.
However, I doubt it'll be another Master Of Puppets.
