And people don't "assume" Metallica are better. They are and it's backed up by facts such as album sales and concert sales. Megadeth *who I happen to like more than Metallica* were playing theaters while Metallica were selling out arena's. I saw Megadeth in a tiny theater and absolutely loved it.
No it doesn't. Some people can actually back up their opinions with facts and logic. Those who can't really have no arguement.
Opinions don't need to be based on facts but those that are carry more weight. What part of that don't you understand?
And for all you know he has every album they ever made.
First, stop assuming what I like. I'm not a Metallica fan at all, but I'm not stupid enough, or ignorant enough to claim they are overrated when all evidence points to the fact that they are not. It's a great concept called being objective... something fanboys know nothing about. Metallica deserve everything they get and all the praise they get. Just ask their peers.

I feel like I am repeating myself over and over again. I am not the only one. If you want facts, go out and experiment by asking people if they find Metallica overrated, you will be surprised how many people agree with me. Facts alone don't make the world go around though. For example, facts show that Nicolas Cage received Razzies for his performances in 2006. A person might argue and say he was terrific, the fact is you can't go around changing his opinion, no matter how hard you try you can't change that.
If you really want another fact then listen up, in my area Metallica was played all the time on tv and radio. When "St. Anger" came out it was the most dominant song. And why? The song isn't too good. They played it all the time, and I know what you might be thinking. "The song gets played a lot because they are a great band". Wrong, bands like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and the likes were almost never played. They were overshadowed by the popularity of Metallica, their hits took the fall to Metallica's overwealming popularity. And remember this is a fact for shows and radios of my area, don't even try to prove it wrong because its true.
I don't know why you would care so much that I call Metallica overrated. My favorite bands (Green Day and Blink 182) are called that all the time, but I don't complain. If you don't realize bands are called overrated all the time, if you can't seem to see why, open your damn eyes.
The part where you say the kid could have all the albums. Are you sure about that? I didn't want to mention it but that kid is a kid I know, who bought the shirt for St. Anger the single alone, and then he claimed they were the best band ever.
To tell you the truth, I am tired of arguing and can't believe I actually went through this. I have a feeling your just trying to get the last laugh by calling my responses "ignorant" and "stupid" to make me look like I don't know what I am doing. I know what I am talking about, and I can back it up with my own reasons, so I would appreciate it if this would end. You can go ahead and reply to me, but you will be talking to yourself, I don't want to talk about it anymore.
I am sorry to everyone for all this, but the discussion is now over.
