Re: American Idol Season 7 Discussion
American Idol is for people with incredibly low intelligence. People that contribute to the surplus amount of "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" and "Kid Nation" shows. Idiots, morons. You people make it difficult for me to turn on my TV at night. I despise you.

I'm not trying to flame here, to be honest. If you don't like it, don't watch it, simple. I appreciate your input/opinion though.

Re: American Idol Season 7 Discussion
Well you don't have to discuss it either if you don't like it.
Me I for one think this American Idol looks promising. So far the talent they've accepted seem to have strong voices. I still think a lot of the comedy characters are just good acting. I laughed quite a bit throughout the show.

Re: American Idol Season 7 Discussion
American Idol gets so much unfair and illogical flack its just so funny to the point that the people who bash it with ridiculous reasons are the ones who are ignorant. American Idol isn't just another "reality show". It has cemented itself as a legit bridge to stardom or stage for the new comers in the music industry. Kelly Clarkson has sold tons and tons of records and has had a lot of number 1 hits. Carrie Underwood amazing vocalist who has lit up the country music scene. Jennifer Hudson in a critically acclaimed really good movie in Dream Girls.
American Idol has proven its legitimacy and anyone who bashes it mindlessly doesn't understand its importance to the music industry. Not only that, American Idol has generously given back to the people who made the show a hit and legit by giving to charities and raising awareness of disabilities and sickness and what not like that. Some may be bitter because Idol is the shortest way to stardom, but you know what, anyone wanting a break would do it in a heart beat, so theres no reason to be bitter.
Now as for my opinion on the season so far. I am liking it to be honest. I've seen some promising talent tonight. I think this year should be a really good year for Idol. The past two years I have developed a system and I ended up predicting the final 5 correct each of the past two years. It'll be interesting to see if I can make it a hat trick.
My System:
Each Audition Show of American Idol, I am writing down the good singers in a fav type of list. Then once Hollywood week comes around and its narrowed down to the final 24, if the ones on my list makes it, I'll keep them in mind for my list of the final 12. Once the final 12 are announced, I'll have a clear picture of who I think will make it to the final 5. This is how I did it the past 2 years and was correct both times.

Legit bridge, eh? You honestly don't think the show is predetermined nonsense? It's about as real as the Diva Search, and half as entertaining.
